Mr. Saltwater Tank has a video detailing the setup of a SWC 160 cone. I used his process to setup my SWC 120 cone with no issues whatsoever. He's got another vid out on fine tuning the skimmer once it's broken in too.

these are great skimmers and sooooo quiet. it seems the 120's don't have the pump issues i have been reading about with the 160's. i did have mine get really loud which was a impeller problem. this happened in the first month, which SWC set out a new impeller right away for. since thats been replaced its been running great.
one thing though the 120's seem to be very sensitive, i feed frozen foods and put the juice in when i feed for the corals. it sets the skimmer off, the skimmer will than start throwing micro bubbles into the tank and skim really wet and overflow in the sump. so after each feeding i have to turn the skimmer off for at least 15 minutes. i now have a controller and just set the feed mode to turn the skimmer off for an hour, this gives the corals a chance to feed and the skimmer its time it seems to need after feeding.
i have pictures of mine running the first 3 days in my sump photos album.

oh see the tube you have coming off of the top of the air intake. i believe thats an overflow tube that fits on under the skimmer cup for if you want to add a container to drain the skim into, instead of pulling the cup each time you want to empty it. it had a elbowed rubber gasket on it correct?. its just another option of how to empty skim.
took me a while to figure out what that tube was for too. SWC lacks in instruction manual area. lol
