new t5 bulbs

hello my lighting system is coralife t5 luner system i am going to get new bulbs for it but i am not sure what type.
right now its 2x10,000 daylight and 2xblue actinic should i do this again or get 4xblue actinic

What do you have coral or just fish ?

Personaly I love the ati build

1- aquq blue special
2- aqua blue +
1 - purple +

In my 4x 80 watt retro fit and looks great ;D

 

I second the combo that silor mentioned, looks awesome. I kept messing with mine throwing in different bulbs and I always came back to this combo.

Although John has started using the new Coral+ bulbs and they seem very promising. I would switch out the aquablue special for a Coral+.

And I would not do 4 actinic bulbs, your corals need the other wavelengths of light that the actinic bulbs can't provide.

 

I think im going to do
2x blue actinic and
2x daylight
And i am going to have corals

 

Bulb choice depends on the length of the bulbs. 18" and 30" fixtures you will need to use OEM bulbs. The rest you can use any brand bulbs.

As state I would suggest using ATI bulbs. I prefer all Coral Plus bulbs for my tank. You can use 2 Coral Plus and 2 Blue Plus if you prefer a more blue look.

 

where is a good place online to buy them my lfs doesnt sell the 24W ones that my set up needs and they cant get them in till thursday but i know i can find them cheaper and quicker online... i also have a 4 bulb fixture that needs new bulbs same set up as Ferret. i have coral fish and a clam... suggestions?

 

i ordered mine from dr fosters and smith. they are on a 2 week sale for 12 dollars each

 

ATI= 1x aquablue special~1x coral plus and 2x blue plus. Love the color these lights bring out in my corals...very natural looking
