Hey i was told to get a T5 fixture. Here is a link to what i got! eBay - New & used electronics, cars, apparel, collectibles, sporting goods & more at low prices

    4 bulbs 2x 10000k and 2x actinic.

So what corals will this support? Anemone?

I have a 20 gal tank. I believe its 2ft long by 1 foot wide by 16in tall. So not a ton of water to do down through.

So basically can i put any type of corals i want in there?

Or is a t5 with these bulbs still not enough? Should i just lose the actinic and get 2 6500k? so then 2 10000k and to 6500k?

Kind of new to this hobby. I have a protein skimmer AquaticLife Internal Mini Protein Skimmer 115 good up to 30gal tank, and a power head. Not sure of its rating, but i have another on its way that is a 550 gph so with the both of those and the protein skimmer i will have good flow. I have 2 clown fish, snails, hermits, yellow clown goby, live rock, xoanthids, star polyps, and some other coral i don't remember the name of. And 2 mandarin dragonets coming tuesday. Then i believe my tank will be full on fish and i will just want to add an anemone and more corals. So let me know what kinds i can put in there with this light!

    Thanks guys!

You could keep basically anything. Sps has to be at the top. Are you sure you have enough pods to keep two mandarins in a 20g tank? 5 fish in a 20 is overstocked IMO. Be careful,

I have the LFS making sure they are eating frozen before i buy them. So that takes care of that.

ahh. good. is this a 20L or 20H? i think you could keep basically anything with that light:) but bulbs and reflectors make a huge difference, a 4 bulb t5 with crappy bulbs is just as good as a 2 bulb t5.

    Nice find... Congrats. :)

You can definitely keep whatever you want with that unit.

You may want to start with a 4-hour lighting schedule for the first week, then start adding 1 hour each week until you reach your goal. Just keep a close eye on the corals. If they close on you, shorten your daylight by one hour, then start increasing by 1/2 hour per week. If, OTOH, they seem to be stretching out for more light, then bump it up a little faster.

Alright. I was planing on rigging up 2 switches, one for the actinic and one fore the 10k bulbs that way i can leave the actinic on all day and the 10k i can acclimate. I do not need to acclimate them to the actinic right?
