I'm wondering what is best to do? I have an empty tank and im about to start adding rodi water. I figured after allowing a few days for the salt to stir id order about 150 lbs of live rock.
I see on ebay there is a guy selling cured and ocean fresh. Im assuming there will be pro's and cons to both, but since there is no live stock in my tank yet, I would try out the uncured stuff.

Is this the way to go?

Sounds good, definitely add rock first then your sand to avoid any rock slides later on.

I would look for dry, base rock. It's the same stuff, just dry. It doesn't have any unwanted pests such as aptaisia, nudibranches etc. It also costs less. Look at Bulk Reef Supply - Bulk Reef Supply, they have a nice selection you can order.
