ok so im going to florida next week for my daughters make-a-wish trip and ive strongly been considering waiting untill i get back to fill and start the tank but as im sure many others here couldnt help turnen the key on their new car they just bought so i took the plunge last night

hooked up my ro/di turned it on and started to laugh once it was primed i must only have about 35-40 lbs of pressure because it took an hour to make a gallon of water so i sent my wife to the store and she picked up 6-5gal bottles of ideal water

one thing i noticed has me worried out of 17 years of fresh water fish keeping ive never seen my tank seals do what i see, in the left front seal normally you can see the full side pain of glass but on this tank once i filled it i can only see about 1/2 of the side pain the half i cant see is cloudy top to bottom. i dont remember it looking like this when i did my 2 plumbing tests and i always check my seals any suggestions?

i dont know the total weight of rock i have in my tank and sump but im assuming its around 40 pounds dry, i bought some rock from a guy on craigs list that had tore down his 180 and kept about 30 pounds of sand and 20 pounds of rock in old tank water what is the chance that i still have bacteria in this water?

and lastly how long is my water going to be cloudy right now i have no sand in the tank it is only rock untill i get my sg and salt level where it needs to be in fresh water this inicates a bacteria bloom is this what im seeing?

first put the salt in. then add the "live rock", then throw in a shrimp (dead from the store). no lights, walk away from it for a month only adding topoff.
