So tank is 7 weeks old. Had fish in it for last 4.

All water params (ph, alk, cal, am, no2, no3, sal, temp) are perfect. I have my own test kits and test every 2..3 days. Been perfect for several weeks.

Already had brown and green algea blooms that got cleaned up by excellent CUC kudos to reefcleaners.

I've added green star polyps and some zoas a week ago. Both are doing good, no sign of any issues. They are all open all day long, look happy.

You can see my equipment list in my sig. I have Remore hang-on protein skimmer on the way, will be here Monday. I also have some AI LEDs coming.

What coral would be a good idea to add next? I really want to move into LPS corals. Is it way too early? If no, which of LPS corals are the hardier kind?

    Thanks.

It is a dry heat, yeah right !
I find duncans and acans to be pretty easy LPS. Just stay on top of your parameters and water changes. Seven weeks is pretty young but do able as long as the water conditions remain stable.

What type of lighting do you have other the tank? From your sig I think you're running 2x54w of T5's, is that right?

Yes, forgot to add the rock that has zoas on it also has two small mushrooms. They are doing fine too. Mushrooms are not my favorite.

I really like anemone looking / frogspawn / long / wavy looking corals. The more fluorescent the better.

I like the look of the Duncans. This is it right:
Whisker Coral, Duncan Coral - Duncanopsammia axifuga

Maybe ill get one and put it towards the bottom of the tank.

Got it, I'm not familiar with those LED's but I'm sure it will help growth and happiness of your corals. I was going to say that most LPS will do much better under at least 4x54w of T5 lighting in a 55g tank. There's def a line between sustaining something and actually getting good growth & color out of it.

You could dabble in some Hammers, Frogspawn, Torches, Duncans, see how they do when you get your new lighting, go forward based on that. As Corailline mentioned, just keep a watch on your params as your tank is still very young. As you move into corals you will want to start dosing additives to keep them healthy and happy.

Candy Canes are pretty easy imo, and don't need a ton of light. But your tank is still young and stability could prove an issue in the short term. I have had zoas and shrooms I couldn't get off some LR live while I was cycling a tank after a move that survived fine, so I wouldn't use that as your only basis. I'd probably wait until you got the new lighting, the week or two would be good for your tank.
