I just set up a new 75g with my sand and water...the rock isn't in it yet. Obviously it is very cloudy, as usual. I prerinsed all the sand as best I could, and used a dish to pour the water into to limit the disturbance.

How long does it usually take to clear up?

Right now I have nothing creating any flow in the water, so as not to disturb the column anymore than it already is. Is this ok or should I have any flow or minimal or what?

    Thanks!

It should subside in 24-48 hours.

Turn on the flow and make sure it is pointed to the water surface. If you have any equipment that can hold it use some filter floss to hasten the process. It could take several days without circulation.

Ok, I just stuck an old HOB filter (for a 60g tank) on it and a koralia 3 pointed at the surface....you think that will help?

    Oh, and +K...thanks!
