I would get the Calurpa out of there ASAP. I had a small bit in my reef once, and it quickly got out of control. It was the bain of my existance, I was constantly trying to prune it and get rid of it.

It is nice looking at first, but it grows like a weed. I would go to bed, and literally the next morning it would be growing across one of my zooanthid colonies.

IMO, get it out ASAP while you still have a chance!

(Don't mean to sound paranoid..but man did I have a hard time getting it out of my tank. Would hate to see you go through that as well)

you will NEVER totally get rid of it without cooking your rock. The roots of it go into your rocks so even if you pull it all off of your rocks, the roots are still there. I battled it for 2 yrs. I had all 4 types of it. Started with the grape, it just showed up oneday. Then it would take over my tank, though I was working a lot and didnt see my tank all the time so I wasnt taking care of my like I should have been. When I upgraded my lights, it finally subdued. It doesnt like strong lighting.

    Confused

I am a newbie so I appreciate the help
Caulerpa is a macro algae right?? so Im assuming you put in your tank voluntarily,, but why even take the chance if it can cause so many problems

I dont understand what you mean when you say it "goes Sexual" also I dont know what reverse lighting versus 24/7 lighting,,,, I mean Im thinking 24/7 lighting is keeping the lights on all the time,,, but isnt it good to have a lunar cycle for stress and better coral growth??

Or is the lighting your referring to only apply to the REFUG
