    I had a new tank stand made for me by a member of our saltwater club. I think he did an excellent job!
    Here are pics of the new stand. A couple of things that are a bit different. The lights are on rails so i can push them back out of the way. The entire front of the hood lifts up along with having doors.

    i cheated, the original stand is still there, just never skinned it, so it was easy just to apply the new skin to the base. The hood is an entirely new piece
