Guys, do you think this a good deal, and what should I offer him?

"75 gallon tank with all the extras. The tank and stand are brand new, never been used. It comes with an all glass top and relatively new hood. I have an eheim-like canister filter, 300W thermometer, various testing kits and food. I will also throw in about 40lbs of fluorite, a few pieces of very nice driftwood, a CO2 kit, python, and a 25 gallon tank (if you want it). 325 or best offer."

Let me know what you think...

    Thanks,
    Mike

Sounds good to me. I just bought a used acrylic 55 gl with stand canopy and lights for $200. The stand has some water damage and a slight crack. I got some extras but of no use to me-was for fresh water.

The 25 gl would make a nice QT tank. .

Also , what are you using the tank for?  Are you wanting it to be reef ready. If it doesn't already have the holes drilled in the bottom of it you may not be able to use it for RR if the bottom of the glass is tempered as many of them are.

If he can have him send you a pic of it.

Hope this helps some!  Good luck with it.

    Cindy

HAHAHA...alright, I will try offering 275...we will see what happens...I dont think it is reef ready, but couldn't i always just use an external overflow box in case the bottom of the tank is not drillable? I requested pictures and will keep you all posted!

    Thanks,
    Mike

That is an awesome deal considering a 75 gallon tank itself is normally around 200+ and the stand another 200+. WHat kind of stand is it?

    More info on that tank:

#1 - bad - the bottom is tempered glass...so no drilling can be done

#2 - bad - the stand doesn't have compartments with closed doors...it is an All-Glass Geneva series stand

The post can be found here... if anyone else is interested, the guy is in the DC area and is really nice and looking to get rid of it...for $325 OBO it is worth the money if u dont need to be drilling or mind having an open stand.
