New Tank

    Hello all
    Well I got my new tank this weekend, 135 gallon with costom made stand and canopy, two 250 MH HQI lights,three foot UV, looks like A 20 gallon refigum, with A 20 gallon sump connected with bulk heads, 220 gallon coarlife super skimmer, two koralia #3 pumps,72 inch moon light strip, all hard piped PVC. 900.00 I'm going to add 220 VHO lights and 4 fans would this be ok lighting for reef ? going to take my time ask A lot of questions and do it right the frist tome I hope, wiil send pics as it goes along can't wait I filled up with water to cleal was down for 3 months every thing looks to be in good working order so far so good

    Welcome to 3reef! :wave: Welcome to the 135 club ;) :lol: I just set mine up last night, transferred contents of my 55. Yep Pics we need pics! Are you gonna get a protein skimmer? The lights, IMO will work great! do you know how old the MH bulbs are? You might want to invest in new....so you know what you got! Ask Tangster, the co he works for sells sweet ones!

    That sounds like a smokin deal ! I also would add the vho's with the halide's. When I set up my big tank that is my plan. Ask Tangster he'll tell ya. Welcome to 3 Reef. Are the halide's retrofit or What Might have trouble fitting under canopy otherwise. and heat might be an issue.
