thanks, I am getting some green hair algae so hopefully the tangs will clean it up. The mimic has been munching it down 24/7! Best hair algae eater i have ever seen!

Awesome system! Incredible! It has me seriously considering going with this one instead of the Neo Nano.

I have a few questions though... I want to make sure I have plenty of pods living in my tank and I want to have a refugium in the sump. Does this system lend itself to that? I guess I'm worried that the filtration bags will filter out all the little beasties. Is there a place in the sump that I can grow cheato or caulerpa?

i put some cheato in the center chamber in the sump and even with using a sock on both the drain from the display and one on the skimmer i still have pods crawling all over the glass in the display! I guess you can rig up the FW top off section of the sump to be used as a fuge. I saw a few people do that on other forums but i kinda like having the fw top off res to do what it was intended for.

Anyway, if you got the cash to spend then i can promise you wont be disappointed with the quality of these systems! Pics just dont do it justice!

What color is you stand, btw? I checked out marinedepot.com and they were selling systems with black stands. I thought yours looked lighter and liked it.

the one they sell on marine depot is the mini. The mini is a bit smaller than mine but still a sweet little nano! If you were to get any of the elos systems aside from the mini i think you need to order directly from elos.
As far as the stand is concerned...the sides of the stand are white and you can get the door (which is full frame BTW) in any color you want! They do REAL color matching in any finish type you can dream up! Give Jesse a call at the office (he is the Elos USA rep) he is a very nice guy and im sure he would be more than happy to help you find the system that fits your needs. Ill pm you his number.

 

oh and to answer your question about the color of my stand...mine is Wenge which is an exotic hardwood. they have a few standard colors/finishes but you can custom order the stand and door to be any color you want for an additional fee. For example i saw this one guy have his stand color matched to be lambourghini orange haha!
