New Tank

    Hi Everyone,

    I have just moved over from tropical set up to a Marine setup and have had my new tank for 2 weeks. Today I purchased 40-50 KG of mature live rock with lots living on it. There are a few Hermit Crabs wandering around and I am wondering do I need to add food for them if so what would you recommend?

    At the moment ebing that its a new tank I have no fish just the Live rock and all the critter on it.

    I wouldn't add anything to it. The crabs, if they survive the cycle, will eat the algae on the rocks. Hermits are great scavengers. They'll even eat each other if one dies. Hope they make it and hope you stay patient during the tank's cycle.
