Looks like the same system but finally added fans to it. The relectors look nearly identical to the older ones. I have the older light fixture and it is very nice, never had heat problems durring the summer so the fans would just be for the length of life.

They are using a supposedly "higher quality" reflector also.

Seems like just a way to sell the new unit. I'm not saying it isnt better than the old version, it definitly is, but the old reflector was 95% vs the new one that is 98% reflective. Both supposedly increase output by 300%. Honestly, the older reflector is still very nice. reguardless, it is a nice light for anyone interested in getting a new fixture that dosnt want to get MH's.

How many years did we wait for this?

You can mod the original teklight to be cooled, and the reflectors, well, the old ones were not bad at all. I just hope that SLS found a better aluminum to make these reflectors out of than their tek2 t5ho reflectors that was supposed to be resistant to pitting and corrosion from salt spray. My 5+ year old ATI t5 reflectors still shine like new and I have a tek2 that has about a year and a half or so of use and it is all pitted and corroded.

I guess I was hoping tek to have a bit more razzle with this new tek light.
