    Hey, Thanks for having me!

Not new to the hobby but haven't done it in years. Alot has changed and some things remain the same.

I have a 90 gallon reef currently in cycle. Chomping at the bit to get some more life in there. But, being a good boy and being patient.

Going for a mixed sps/lps tank and eventually a nice maxima clam.

Getting some activity already on the one live rock "seed" i put in there. And I put in some brackish green spotted puffers for the kids. They'll come out obviously.

    Here are some early videos.

Welcome to 3reef and nice looking set-up.

Do you need to remove heat from your hood with the DIY LED's? If so, how did you do ii?

    Thanks Everyone!

And, yes you do absolutely need to remove heat dissipated with leds. That's what will kill them in short order. As of now, I have two 120v ac fans that are tied to the first "on" string of 450nm blues so the fans come on first with them and go off last with them at the end of the light cycle. I am currently looking for another overhead option to increase the air flow. Although this is imperative for the life of the leds, the heat produced is markedly less than T5 bulb or other traditional setups. And, the look is unbelievable.

    Happy to be here!
