New to 3reef

    Hello everyone, my name is Matty, i am new to 3reef, but been a saltwater addict for maybe 2 years now ;D i started out with a 55 gallon, that crashed due to a sea apple, then went to two 2.5 gallon mini reefs. i am now currently running a 10 gallon AGA with a pretty crappy HOB filter that is mostly used for Carbon + Kent Marine Nitrate Sponge. light is a 150W 14,000K DE MH. the tank is about 5 months old, and has just about the most basic beginner corals, GSP, purple mushrooms, water-mellon mushrooms, one big stalk of Kenya(which has dropped serious frags in the past month) and a nice rock with anthelias and a large feather duster. oh ya, i cant forget the one coral that i think i like the best, my Ricordea florida which will hopefully be splitting soon. i am aslo hosting a few inverts, an emerald mythrix crab, a Nassarious snail, and a Peppermint shrimp that just got done eating all of the aptasia. everythings been going really well so far and hope to be of some help to 3reef

    hello welcome to 3reef. an apple a day keeps the doctor away(but i guess that doesn't apply to reefs)lol. they look like they would be hard to keep alivem how did you like yours(before the incident)?
