    I thought it looked smaller than mine. What are your dimensions?

    Well... I was TOLD by the folks that gave it to us that it was 250gal... had not taken any measurements until just now....

    H= 27" W=18" L=72"... I haven't calculated yet to see what that comes to gallons wise... but, it is STILL a big tank!! ;D

    Yeah... I know have teeth and very strong jaws... Bruce's preferred treat is almonds!!! :cheesy:

    And thanks!! ;)

    Nooooo.... I have NO intention of EVER putting aquarium fish into a local pond or river!!! Like said, I haven't done the calculations of the actual gallons for the tank size yet... I was just going off what the folks that gave it to us told us... I figured they had to know how big it was... ;D

    By MY calculations.... it is only about 150 gallon!!!

    Now it's been a long while since I have calculated liquid volumes.... so please check my math....

    18" = 45.72cm 27"=68.58cm 72"=182.88cm

    soooooo... rounding up.... 46cm x 69cm x 183cm= 580842cucm / 1000 = 581 liters

    581 liters/ 4= 145.3 US gal...

    Am I off somewhere???

    I think it is right at a 150....but that may not be right.

    I need to recalculate mine tomorrow when someone is here to help me hold the tape meause. My arms aren't long enought to reach the ends.

    I'm sure there is a math genius on 3Reef that will help figure it out.

    Still, you have a really nice sized tank.

    yeh, doesnt look like a 250 from the pic (standard 240g measures 8' x 2' x 2'), the size of the hob whisper kinda gives it away.

    btw, u can use w x l x w /231 in inches. makes things a lot easier

    and yes, u got a 150g system.

    That fish is so big, it almost needs to be in a public aquarium.. does it head and tail touch the front and back of the tank when it turns around?
