New to board

Hello to all. I am new to the forum and just getting back into keeping a reef tank after not having one for about 15 years. I have a 150 gallon set up on order and hope to have it cycling within a week or so. I'm in the San Antonio area.

Welcome!! Love that you're starting off big!! Can't wait to see pictures of your progress!

 

I was originally going to go with something similar to the 75 gallon tank I had years ago, but one thing led to another... We have a large living room, so the aquarium was needing to match the scale of everything else. That sounds good, right? Not sure I'm going to be able to explain the need to order over 150 lbs of rock, but that won't get here until next week. Plenty of time to come up with some kind of explanation.

 

Welcome. Who needs an explaination... just say it is in the best interest of the tank Nice way to justify the large tank however... large room, large tank.

just get base rock rather than live rock it will be way cheaper. then seed it with some liverock.
