New to coral PLEASE HELP!

    Hey Everyone I just got some new coral.
    It is orange and branchy with green dots on it. It is hard coral. Now that it has been in my tank for 24 hours it is turning white and looks like its coating is coming off> What do i do is something wrong??

    Hi Angie

    can you post pictures?
    also post this in the ASAP section - and complete all the details indicated about your set up
    can you give details about your set up - salinity, ph, ammonia, Nitrite, Nitrate, phosphate etc
    details such as age of tank - how long has it been set up salt water and details of other tank occupants -
    also details on lighting and filtration/ skimming etc

    the more information you can give - the better the chance of a diagnosis being made

    without these details it would be hard for most people to indicate what the problem is

    Sounds like its bleaching.....what type of lighting do you have??
