New to coral what kind of food do i need

    I just got 5 frags from my lfs they are all soft corals i was wondering what food i need

    You don't necessarily need to feed. What kinds of coral? That may help in getting you some good ideas.

    Agreed.Zooplex is what I use but there are lots of good choices.

    My faves are small foods like cyclopeeze and the like. I also liked making my own with shrimp, clam, cyclopeeze etc all blended down. Drip a little of that in and watch the feeders go crazy.

    The real question is do you have adequate lighting for corals? Even though they are soft corals, some still need a decent amount of light.

    I am not sure what they are i just know there soft corals i think three of them are zoas and for lighting i have stock biocube 29g with a reefbrite led strip thanks

    I decided years ago the best coral food is tang poop. What are your system specs (size, filtration,flow, stocking,and lighting)

    K yea your fine. Some rare zoas and more expensive ones require good light but sounds like you have plenty.

    I don't feed my softies directly. My guess is that because soft corals don't possess stinging tentacles they rely more heavily on photosynthesis than anything.

    Ok so shouldnt feed thm at all
