    Hello All,

The household recently acquired a 3 year old 90 gallon saltwater fish only system. The previous owner offered the entire set up including 100lbs of live rock, fish, stand, sump, canister filter and lights.

We had it moved by a professional from a local fish store, who also moved the majority of the water.

We've had the tank for about a month, and under the advisement of this professional have upgraded lights and switched out some fish (he removed a moon wrasse and two large damsels which he said would make obtaining any new fish difficult due to their aggression.)

Currently we have a yellow tang, small blue damsel, and a pink basslet that came with the tank, and have acquired from this person 4 green chromis, two clownfish, a flame angel and a diamond back goby.

There are also 3 cleaner shrimp and a coral banded shrimp, snails and hermit crabs. We were also sold a seabe anemone, which the maintenance person recommended as a possible match for the clowns. So far no hosting, no interest at all from the tank raised clowns, but the anemone is fascinating (and sometimes confusing) to watch anyway.

We are glad to have the resource of a forum to learn from others who are not also trying to sell us something.

Sounds like the LFS mostly led you down the right path. Getting the Moon Wrasse and large Damsels out was definitely a good idea. The Sebae was not, as I believe you already know. The current stock list sounds good though. Post up a couple pics!

I agree with martial. Were those new lights for the plants?

Cool aquascape. Did you use rods or epoxy to get them to stay like that? Have you thought about painting the back glass?

    Welcome to 3reef!
    The scape is looking good.
Are those Marineland led lights? If so they can not really support anemones. Is the nem on the lower left corner? It doesnt look to good from that pic.

The rocks were placed by the young man who moved it for us (he has a business maintaining aquariums.) They are not fixed in place other than by gravity. They are very porous with lots of rough edges so they don't move - or at least haven't.

The anemone has been unwell (did start that on a separate thread.) The young man who sold him to us finally took it back today and offered us a few small trumpet coral fragments instead - the anemone was over our heads.

A whole new learning curve awaits. :)
