Just set up my first salt water tank and love it. Got a 50gal tank with about 4lbs of live rock. (40lbs more coming in the mail) so far i started with three blue damsels to start cycling. Down to one because one killed the others. But have since added a lemon peel and juvenile Volitan. Looking forward to getting it going and having a long lasting hobby.

    Hi and welcome to 3reef.

Remember that you can perform water changes during and immediately after the cycle to prevent your live stock from being adversely affected by a decline in water quality.

Welcome!! It sounds like your moving kind of fast, keep an eye on your water parameters and try to feed lightly till your tank matures some.Poor water conditions can kill your fish long before starvation.

Welcome, and remember that in this hobby only bad things happen quickly. Good things require the ability to proceed slowly and carefully. Read as much as you can, follow the advice of experienced aquarists and you'll have fun and learn a lot along the way.
