    Hi,
i purchased a 29 gallon reef tank from a friend. Included was 6 fish...mainly damsels and a snowflake eel (that i never see), along with some mushroom coral. I've had the tank for about three weeks now and the first few days the mushroom coral was looking great, but in the past week it has closed up and hasn't opened since. I've checked the water quality and everything seems to be within the normal limits...nitrates, pH, ammonia, specific gravity, and temp. I have a 55w compact light that i'm trying to upgrade. could that be the problem?Any recommedations would be helpful.

Oh and how do you feed a snowflake eel if it never comes out?

    thanks

    hi
snowflake eel are more active a night time so try to feed him when lights are off and you should try putting food on  a feeding stick and waiting for your eel to come out and grab it....

i doubt that the shrroms arent getting enough light. I would retest, if nothing shows still then I would wait a week and do a good water change.
