Our local club had an auction two weeks ago, and I managed to win two unmounted frags of neon green nepthea. Everything else I had won is doing well, open, polyps waving etc. the nepthea is not happy. I have not witnessed any polyp extension. Water parameters are good, nitrates might be slightly elevated...
Xenia purchased that same night has anchored and is pulsing, frogspawn,-I swear it's doubled in size, as has the devil's hand leather. The blastomussa actually dropped several baby blastomussies ( ::) ) into the sand next to the parent colony!
Things are going GANGBUSTERS, except for the nepthea!

Anyone with some experience with this coral, I'd love to hear from you. Am I expecting too much? Can this just be a temporary problem while it attempts to anchor? Is this a "high flow" coral?

    Tanks in advance,
    Mike

did you rubberband it to something also it might just be adjusting to the light it took mine about 2 weeks before it started looking real good.

Yeah, there was a few days of stumbling while I tried gluing it, then rubberbanding it to a piece of rock. Slippery little devil! Eventually one frag just got wedged between two rocks, the other is held to a rock with knitting yarn...
So I guess it still needs to settle in.
