I think this is the same fish they also call a 'strawberry basslet'. (he's purple)

I have one, in my mixed reef, and in my DT, they all get along pretty well.

This little thing is lightning fast however, and is my only fish to ever 'hit' my hands while in the tank doing things. It really scared me 'cause I didn't see it at first and it hurt! NO blood drawn though- yet!

I"d say go for it, see what others say

Fish are like humans they all have different personalities.

Usually once a Dottyback is added it makes life terrible for newcomers and even for current residents. They are very territorial and aggressive in general.

Is this the purple orchid dottyback? I have one and it stressed out the other tank inmates until they perished. A 4 line wrasse and YWG.

I have one in my biocube. I also have two clowns and a six line. The other fish aren't afraid of the dotty and they give it right back if he tries anything. So far so good.

Yup yup. You have been given good advice here. If it was a larger tank that might be a different story. Need territories that a nano does not provide.
