New to reefing!!

Hey all, just wanted to drop a line and say hi!!

New to the whole reef aspect but been keeping freshwater fish for many years. I'm the kind of guy that researches everything I need to know before I buy or jump on an idea. To give you an idea here are some things I currently have on the go... ;D

Currently I have 150g FW Oscar/pleco tank running a 33g fluidized bed filter with K1 Kaldnes. Just made this upgrade 2 weeks ago from a 90g so needless to say I still have some aquascaping to do but it's up in running and the fish are much happier to say the least!!

My bigger project (that lead me here) is an In-wall 225g {72x24x30H} SPS tank that I'm hoping to have complete by Feb/Mar 2014, there's lots go still build, including the renovation that is currently taking place to accept the tank/fish room.
For this build I've started a 480w DIY Cree LED fixture that is basically complete but I bought a 72" MH Coralife fixture that I'm now retrofitting/replacing the MH with my LED fixture. And possibly replacing the CF for T5 bulbs for easier/cheaper maintenance and added PAR. I'll go into more detail with its own specific thread.

Lots to discuss about the project but looking forward to hearing from you all!!

Sounds like quite the tank. You will have to do a DIY thread on your lighting project.
