    Hello all. I am brand new to the reef. I have a 34 galon Red Sea system. It is 1 week old today (7/10/09). so far all I have is live sand (about 40lbs) and 40lbs of live rock. So far I have heard many differnt ways to "start" a tank. I thought that joining this forum would be great for a beginner like myself and perhaps as I learn someday I might be able to help others.

    Welcome to 3reef!!! You are in the right place to get great advice. There are alot of very knowledgable people here. I could not hav done my tank without them. So go ahead and ask away!! That is what this thing is all about.
