    Hello,

Although I have not yet had the honor of running a salt water aquarium yet, my heart has always been with the reef. It has been a life long dream to have a reef aquarium. My life is in too much of a transition to start an aquarium right now, but I am doing research in hopes that I will be ready to take steps towards one when life is calmer.

Although I don't have an aquarium at the moment, I have had some basic aquariums in the past. I have had basic 10g tanks with neons or danios, and a few bettas over the years. I would definitely like to have a large tank one day.

This forum looks like it is a good community and I am excited to join.

Your in the right place Lisa! Welcome to 3reef :) My advice, keep your eyes out on your local craigslist. You can find some awesome deals on there from ppl needing to get rid of their tanks fast. You can save a ton of money that way at least. Don't hesitate to ask any questions. Salty tanks aren't as hard as their made out to be in my opinion, once you have it all down, it's second nature. Good luck!

Not necessarily difficult, but excessive maintenance.

Welcome! Helpful forum with friendly folks.
