I am stationed in Japan and have started reefing for about a year. I have had fish only and a 200 gallon undrilled monster that was tolerant of neglect but a reef is challenging and i have a Japanese made rimless 52g with a DIY hood my bud James and I put together. I hve learned patince and good husbandry with regards to my tank and it is well worth it. I posted some pics here enjoy!

Thanks and I know. As for the skimmer i had an H&S set me back a pinch but too much fiddling and I liked a deeper sump. I got a bermuda 3c it was amazing till 90V of current was leaked into tank by mag 7 so I had to use a Rio 2100 untill a quiet one gets here. I know fully well the depths of spending believe me this aint cheap but i dont have too many bad habits and no bills so!! Reefing it is....LOL

Military huh? Write PO's for your reef tank as "misc Tank parts" and see if anyone notices you're talking reefs not Abrams... hell for the cost of a new turret you could have a 400g reef stocked with anything you want :p
