Currently I am running a 92 corner tank with cheap power compacts which do the job but after two years in this hobby and some research I have found that for what kind of coral i want its not cutting it.

About a month ago I was given a full setup 75g and with it came a current brand t-5 8x54 mixed daytime and blue plus.... So with this I am getting a 110g tall tank and fitting to the stand and building a new canopy for it.

So for me question which are the best lights to reload this current setup I have read lots of posts about ati and adding b+ and figi purple and 12k daytime and what not I am just wondering advantages for one or the other I know for a fact it will be much better then my current setup I am running or if I should just run what came in it half and half blue and white. also should i get the 54watt or just to the 80watt verison

Well the watts 54 watters are 4 foot bulbs and the 80 watters are 5 foot bulbs so depends on the fixture it self. How long is the fixture?

For the corner tank I would just throw on a 14k-20k 400 watt halide with a great reflector and call it done, maybe use the old PC's for actinic supplements. The 75 might be a better option for a reef tank instead of a 110 tall. The extra height really only equates to a little extra volume, more water for your lights to penetrate, and more of a pain to reach the bottom.

Does your current T5 have individual reflectors? I use 3" wide parabolic SLR's and can only fit 6 bulbs in my 18" wide tank. For bulbs, I use 3 ATI blue plus, an aqua blue (12k), a fiji purple and a pro color. It gives a nice light blue tint to the tank and really makes the corals pop.

Thanks for all the posts. I really love my 92 just want a canopy and some good lights cant find any deals on a hood. but the 75 is such a downsize that why I was thinkng the 110g would be better i know its deep which will suck for me with short arms lol. I just have some much rock and my 92 is stocked well and dont know if it will all fit in this 75????
