First off, I love bowfronts. My first tank that wasnt a hand me down was a 50 gal bowfront, still have that tank today. As far as equipment It really depends on what you plan on keeping other than inverts, mainly coral wise. I would recommend a skimmer, I was running an aquaC remora HOB skimmer on mine and it worked well but there are better hang on skimmers out there now. My light was a single 250w MH in a DIY reflector made out of one of the wifes cake pans with aluminum foil siliconed to the inside. It wasnt that pretty but it was functional and I grew any type of coral I wanted. I would say you could do without a calcium reactor ( i never used one, the salt I used was pretty high in calcium so regular water changes took care of that). Really the only thing I had on my tank was the skimmer and plenty of live rock in the tank. Water changes once a week kept everything healthy and happy. Other than that you will need the basics, a heater and if it gets extremely hot wherever you have your tank maybe a small chiller(again I never used one because the tank was in the living room and the AC kept it at 72 degrees.) Anyway to sum up this long post you will need a good skimmer, a good light, a good heater, and possibly a chiller, just be prepared to buy more equipment later on cause this is one addicting hobby and if you stick with it you're probably going to want to go bigger eventually.
