    are you measuring phosphate levels?

    No, not check phosphate levels. Presently just checking pH, nitrite and ammonia level. I need to buy another testing kit, to check additional levels. I did take a sample of water to the store and they said all looked good.

    Thank you, Cuttingras. Phoshate was the issue. I took another water sample to the store, and there it was. I also replaced my seaclone skimmer with a remora protein skimmer and added a phosphate remover to my external filter.

    I would advice you not to buy any more snails for now as you run the risk of them starving, since you have a newly set up tank with little for them to feed on right now!!!
