Hi everyone! I'm new to the sight. Obviously.

I roamed around Aquarium Advice but never got a straight answer so I thought I would try a new site and came across here!

New to reefing. It's my first year of college so I thought what better way than to start something totally new? I started off with a 3 gallon tank (pictures provided), I got hooked and bought a used Nano Cube 28 with big plans for it later when I am able to get an apartment.

Here are some pictures of my tank. There are some of the very first start to current day.

    Enjoy!

    Some more crash course pictures!

The Clownfish had jumped out in the middle of the night one night and was gone the next morning:-[

Soo I got a small peppermint shrimp for Aptasia problem

He was bullied by the Cleaner Shrimp, so I traded the Cleaner for the acan frag and another peppermint shrimp

One of the Peppermint Shrimp is assumed dead..

Got a Purple Dottyback, didn't realize that it would kill the other Peppermint either..

Lights had just turned on when I took the picture of the Dottyback.

I've got big plans for the cube. As of now I am saving up and buying equipment for it, lights, pumps, ro/di unit, sand, dry rock, etc. It won't be set up until the summer of 2012 actually when I get to move off campus into an apartment.

I will be starting a thread soon of a 10 gallon I am going to move my 3 gallon into.

Great! I bought my 90 gallon while I was in college but held it for a few months till I moved out aftergraduation. Did the shrimp eat much of the aptasia?

The shrimp did a great job while they were alive. They were about an inch each and picked on an aptasia almost twice their size. I haven't seen that aptasia since, it is either dead or has been hiding in its hole. Only time will tell if its still there or not.

The torch has been growing a lot. It was first originally in the sand bed but grew so big that the polyps were touching the sand so I glued it to the rock on the right.
