Ok hopefully i answer all. 36 gallon bowfront emporer 400 filter with a carbon bag on one side and regular e filter with a acurel phosphate reducing pad behind the actual filter.powerhead 660 to move the water. Was told i have to much rock not sure of exact weight would say close to(guessing) 45 pounds will be adding sand bed when funds are available. Most of the rock was in a 10 year established tank but the gentleman i revived this stuff from had kind of let things go south do to health issues (r.i.p. Charlie) some of the rock was just boxed up.( i now know i should have done a better job cleaning the newly added rock).now while the first anemone died and was removed i am afraid it was dead asst least a day or two before he came top side and takin out.he was well hidden lol. An now seeing new growth.have found at least 3 feather dusters in almost to small to see form and a beautiful purple bottom green top mushroom.i think from what i can see he is a bullseye.also have a gobbie not sure what kind he is pink with fine lines only seen when very close.and a huge damsel. Any more questions i wool do my best to answer as Charlie had passed and the tank was just gonna be let go if i didn't take asap

Tomatoes are pretty aggressive. Could he be chasing and aggressing toward the one up by the filter? You may need to take that one out if it's being nipped a lot.

    So here's the good news:

    - The fact that the rock has growth means that it never "died" after it was taken out of the original tank. Likely you had some die off which has caused a spike in ammonia/nitrite.

    - This means it should recover pretty quickly. Keep doing what you're doing - water changes, etc. and the tank will stabilize and you should be good to go.

    - If you can throw in some Microbacter7 it will speed all that up.
