I have a 65g tank and currently have 2 Koralia 4 powerheads. I am getting adequate flow, but I think I would like to do a wave timer. I hear Tunze's are the most affordable option. Can someone recommend me a good bang for the buck setup?

I am open to other brands if they offer bang for the buck wave capability.

You're looking at putting down some serious cash, regardless as to the route you go.

There's really only 2 options for a true variable wavemaker setup. Tunze, and Vortech. I would look into the Vortech, to be honest.

Nothing Tunze does is the most affordable option. They are high end and their stream pumps are not cheap. Actually the pumps are but by the time you add in the controller they are as much as vortechs.

I am loving my MP10 right now but my Tunze Turbelle did have a really nice controller too that alternated pump speed very smoothly. Both are very nice. Vortech has smaller footprint, but is louder than my Tunze slightly. Not sure this helps. :)
