new tv....on accident kinda

so got myself into a spot of trouble...ocasionally i like to big on tvs on ebay and see if i can get them for cheap. anyways some guy kept out bidding me and her kept bidding up 100$ at a time. So i was like ill just bid him up and cost him some money. Anyways it got up to 680...and i won! ahhh! so now i am trying to sell my 47" for 450$ then get this one lol

well that is what you get for trying to mess with that guy. I hope this teaches you only bid on items in the future if you have intent to actually buy them.

Economics is simple, you have a $1000 tv but it will only fetch as much as someone is willing to pay. The demand is high so its going to fetch at least close to that value.

 

I have a kessil light I'm ebaying. My wife wanted a different color. It is currently listed for the third time because the previous two buyers didn't pay when the auction ended. Thanks for honoring your bid and paying for the tv. Taken from the sellers point of view, it's a pain to keep relisting.

 

well i did want it, just hadent planed on bidding over 500 for it. But then i got caught up in the bid war and others like it sold for a lot more so i figured this one would as well, then it did not. But it is an awesome tv! and yea i hate when people buy stuff and then don't pay, if you bid just pay!

 

For what its worth, if others sold for a lot more, why not relist when you get it and turn a profit? I've purchased something I didn't want before (learned I didn't want it after receiving and trying out). I ended up selling for a profit.

 

LOL that is how I got my maxima clam.

 

I use an on-line sniping site. You create an account, enter the eBay item number, along with your maximum bid for the item. It waits until the last second to place your bid. The final bid will be whatever it takes to win, up to your max. So, if your max was $100 but the final bid before yours was $60, it will just bid $60.50.

If the item goes over your max before the auction closes, you get an alert and you can up your max bid if you want.

In any event, it really protects you from the Dave Hester's ("YUUUUUUUUUUUUUP") of eBay that like to bid just to drive up prices.

You get some free snipes when you join, and I think it's $0.75 per winning snipe after that.

 

Great analogy,haha,but yeah running a guy up past what you are wanting/willing to pay just to make them pay more is not cool,but congrats on the tv Toal and following through with your purchase.

 

i really did want it.... the gf was not so happy about it tho... lol!
