I'm designing the stand and plan to have the front and sides fully removable to assist in ease of moving the beast and for access to the sump. I plan to use keyhole picture hangers to keep the panels in place.

I'll stain the exterior in mahagonay and for the trim add in a bit of black stain to the mahagony stain to darken it. For the interior I'm going to use the plastidip sparay in white which will totally seal the wood.

I'll be making the stand a bit bigger in order to place the sump further back so that the plumbing from the overflow can go straight down into it.
*Added* I'm planning on making a box for controllers, dosers, power strips etc. and will make it in a way that I can move it to the other side of the stand if I need to since I rent for now. I'll also make the 2 non emergency lines switchable too since the box would be in the way if on the wrong side of the stand....so if I change the side the box is on then then I'll swap positions of the full siphon and durso lines.

I'm hoping to be able to design my own trim using a dremil and micro router. Here's the rough idea.

The side pieces are supposed to resemble kelp.

I'll keep it updated. Will have to work on the trim before I even start the stand, right now I'm getting the waves drawn full scale.

Thanks and yeah I hear you the bow is a PITA but it's so much prettier and unique so it's kinda worth it. ;D
The stand is good for anything from a 55 to a 90 gallon so if I tire of the bow I'll get a 90. I have a ton of ideas for the stand to make it tidy and very functional. I've a few ideas for the tank as well.

I started a stand thread as right now I'm not 100% certain if I'll do the Bow or just finish the 120 since when I was planning the stand it was going to end up nearly the same size as the 120 I already have and have a stand made(minus the skin/door panels, trim and an extension in the back) for the sump.

I'm halfway through making the stand, I'm useing 2"x3" studs which will give me 26" inside the stand To the bottom of the cross member (28") between them on the 32" tall stand.
I'm also leaving the overflow in to save money and time.
