Hey Guys, found a little bit of free time the past couple days and wanted to get some things taken care from the 'ol todo list. This time around it was a Windows Gadget for the ReefAngel controller. Another first for me, but turned out to be surprisingly simple. It's basically just a mini web page being hosted inside the sidebar process. HTML/javascript/css and a Windows System.Gadget object model to work with.

Anyway, it's pretty straight forward. The gadget will asynchronously refresh itself every 15 seconds and display the current temperatures from all 3 probes, pH value and PWM Dim% for your LED's on the stock two channels. If you have the relay expansion, it will also display all 16 of your outlet statuses, otherwise just the 8. The relay labels are customizable as are the temp sensors. Other than that, all you need to enter is the url and optionally port number that your controller can be reached at. At the computer at home it looks like:

at work it uses my dyndns host address and port forward to communicate.. Similar to "http://mydyndnsacct.org:2000"

    Here's some screenshots:

As always, it's free to download. Have a look at the post on the reefangel forum here for the zip file and instructions to install.

Thanks, Matt. I'm happy to contribute when and where I can. Plenty more where this came from, I'm just getting warmed up :chef:

Not exactly. The Bubble Magus is still working well for me, so probably won't be on the market for a new one for awhile. Plus I still have two drews dosers brand new in the box. The new RA one seems pretty straight forward enough, though. Just two power cords so not too interesting from the software perspective :p. They do look like a pretty good deal. Interested to see how well they work once it comes out.

    Thanks, boosted.

So I couldn't resists.. Had to start working on version 1.1 and allow for 2-way communication and the ability to toggle equipment on/off from the gadget.. Should be ready soon..
