    agree with much that has been said already, I find my xenia and pom poms don't like high or direct flow. If you want the xenia to pulse it does best in low flow. Xenia is a coral that spreads like wildfire in some tanks and in others it randomly withers away for no reason.

    A dual T5 fixture might work, what is the wattage? Also, what types of bulbs you are using where the xenia is placed is also important.

    like skier, I normally never acclimate my corals, only clams, inverts, fish. I usually float the bag for temp & then it goes in. So far with this method I haven't had any probs or losses. My extended params are pretty spot on though so it all depends on the stability of your system and if you got the corals via mail or in a LFS. All mine are store bought.
