funny...I was thinking sort of the same thing. A camelback shrimp will pick at corals; not peppermints. However, yours do look very much like peppermint shrimp.

So I take it you don't like/want your xenia anymore?
Did they do something to your tank or you just don't want them?

EDIT--Think am am still a lil P.O. about that to get the humor. So I just have an SOB peppermint right?

So the two major differences between camelback shrimp and peppermint shrimp is that the peppermint shrimp are clear/red and the camelback shrimp are white/red. The camelback shrimp also has a hump on it's back. The peppermint shrimp does not. Pretty sure ours is a peppermint shrimp.

They took over my tank in about 4 weeks time, now I spent one day a week just cutting them out and throwing them away (no one around here wants them) .... if I could only get rid of all of them !

too bad wellington is so far away. I would take them off your hands. Xenias grow slowly in my tank.

Haha true. I guess once you progress to other stuff it might be a bother but I only have GSP on a rock I purchased, the $5 xenia and Zoa combo, and random lil(<1/4") polyps on my other live rock.

I don't have much left right now, but in 4 weeks or so, my tank should be full of them again :)
