My purple tang was the same way the 1st day, and with switching of lighting on or off... :) I would say give it time to adjust, make sure its fed full of nutritious nori/seaweed/greens and you should be good to go!

well it's eating a lot. flakes with garlic and i have nori on a clip. i don't think it ate any nori yet though. i also feed the tank with ground shrimp and garlic, i'm not sure if it ate any of that either.

Eh the Zebrasoma family gets that way lol... My purple tangs aggression issues are gone after I added a few more tangs and redid the rockwork. Occasionally like once a week, He will flare up and chase someone, but its just my key that hes hungry :p ... Feed him and hes a little putty cat :p

yeah but it will be something that can hold it's own. the tang is also pretty small. i still haven't decided on the next fish. maybe a niger trigger. i'm trying to not keep any overly aggressive or overly passive fish.

Haha no damsels are meanies.... Try having a maroon clown..... I have both make my yellow tangs look like a bunch of sissies! Tangs are aggressive towards eachother not everything in the tank usually unless they are in a tank that is to small
