ok so i decided to go with the 20 tall for my display tank so i ran down to walmart and got some plumbers putty duck tape and a can of krylon fushion looks to be a little bit darker than a light sky blue for the back of the tank, also picked up a 24"x24" sheet of 1/4" plexi to build the in-tank overflow box and a sheet of 1/8" for my sump baffels

when i got home i worked up the courage to drill the tank, ive never drilled glass or tile before so i wasnt shure what to expect but it wasnt bad at all took me about 5 mins per hole they both came out smooth and round with no cracks so im calling it a win!!!!

i will update as i progress
i plan to start the stand tomarrow hopefully ill get it to the point i can start to wire it but i probably wont get to that till next weekend

looks good to me, actually sound better thanm mine now LOL. I have to say you did a ton of reading and took your time from what I can gather from the few posts you have.

the fire fish are a good idea to me, their cool and add some diffreant color to the tank.

What type of skimmer are you thinking of adding to the setup? If it was mentioned I appoligize I had to speed read at that time.

i would go bigger just in case you want to upgrade in the future. What am i saying you will upgrade in the future and want something a little more suited for your needs LOL. Odysea has one rated for a 75 gallon that would work well for you,and since its on mine now it works well, and still give you room to move it up into a bigger tank. but that skimmer you have isnt bad either ;D
