    Hello all,

My name is Keith and I am live near Columbus Ohio. I currently have a 20g freshwater setup running with 3 danios, 2 platyies, and a Pleco. WE lost one of the Platyies the day after we bought him but other than that the fish are doing well.

I have a 5 year old daughter that has been wanting a clown fish, so I am starting a Salt water setup. I have a 30G setup with about 60% water in it. I am going to get live sand and live rock this after noon, then I will start the cycling process. This is my first attempt at a saltwater setup, but I have a friend that has a 29G JBJ setup and has had it running well for several months.

My only concern at the moment is my lighting but I figure I have some time since I still need to go through the cycling.

I will get pictures up later as right now I can show you pictures of a 30 G tank with about 60% water in it.

ok so I got the tank drilled tonight, bought a sump got all the plumbing in place, loaded up the water and got the live and dry rock in place. I was a little short on water, the sump currently isn't active. I need to get some more RO/DI water tomorrow. All the rocks are cover and I have water movement so it's not a huge deal at the moment. But the waiting and water checking begins now.

So i got the tank completely filled up tonight, the sump is working perfectly. It's a little noisy with the drain and the sump pump, but it's not too bad.

Waiting on the Ammonia spike to start the cycle. However I am debating whether or not I have enough rock in there. It's a 29G tank with a 10G sump and I have about 32lbs of rock.
