    can anyone ID this. I just bought some cured live rock and these guys came on it are they bad or good? also underneath it in the pictuere is what looks like some sort of anenome any id on that could help too. if there not bad is there any way of keeping them alive since my tank is cycling still?

    Looks like some type of finger leather, hard to tell what kind from the pic, and the other looks like a majano anemone.

    Majano's are common but not very common and can be a nuissance, occasionally see corals hitchhiking.

    Agree...looks like might be small piece of maybe kenya tree... are you seeing any expansion on it?

    no expansion only in the tank about 3 days. already starting to look droopy.too bad that purple tree thing was quite amuzing, only thing to look at besides rock, my tank is still cycling about 2.5 weeks in. will the cycle possibly kill off the anenome's too? or is that a hardier pest?

    2 flouros , 1 actinic, and 1 daylight.

    Thats probally why its shrinking up. Put it as close to the lights as possible and it might make it.

    you think it is going to make it with the tank still cylcing? i would figure any amounts of ammonia or nitrite would kill it for sure.
