Thats right, Im having a really bad day. Im no newb, but I sure do feel like one. After adding all my rock and sand, I then realized I havent added my salt yet. What do I do at this point? I am debating adding the salt in to the sump with 2 giant pumps for circulation, and let the water mix in the sump then get slowly pumped through the system.

Other option is to pump 5 gallons of water out, mix it, add it back in, and repeat over and over, slowly raising the salinity with each "water change"

    Please give me some suggestions

Either way sounds effective. I would not worry about the rock having issues with rapid salinity changes since it went to regular water all at once.

I think my biggest concern was having bits of undisolved salt disolve slower than the bulk of it, causing swings once I get the salinity to where I want it...BUT I also dont have the time to spend doing 5 gallons of water at a time. 99% sure I am going to mix in-sump, for time reasons. If anyone sees any issues with this, please let me know and I will keep thinking of some more options.

With just rocks and sand I would add it in the sump and let the pumps mix it. Maybe check it tonight before bed for any settled salt. Mix that up again and test it in the morning. You should end up close and the salt will be dissolved.

No prob, just mix it first and then add it. I wouldn't want it to setfle into the rocks or sand and sit there
