    I just use Kalkwasser mix and different Strontium, and reef mineral supplements and I get purple coralline algae growth. :)

    FYI, I've added 5 lbs of base rock, done one Kalkwasser drip, and waited. I have pretty good Coraline growth now. Most of the base rock and live rock is about 30% covered or better, and I'm starting to get some spots on my glass now. I even noticed some on the empty hermit shells in my substrate....
    I think I'm going to switch to a two-part Calcium + Mg supplement next time I dose for Ca. After more research, your collective advice, and my own experience, Kalkwasser seems more for maintaining Ca levels than building them.....
    Oh, I added a lemonpeel angel and another turbo snail. everybody seems happy. Of course the fish choice means I'll definitely have to keep this tank a FOWLR....
