Xenia will grow the fastest out of anything, are very hardy, and you can get the cool pulsating variety... most complain that they grow TOO fast... good starter coral.

Next are Zoas, the ones that look like a carpet of little/big buttons, which are very hardy, come in some pretty sick colors/patterns, and grow probably 2nd fastest out of anything...

Green star polyp... looks like neon grass... this was my first coral... grew slower than I thought it would... Would have rather had a bunch of cool zoas, I thought they weren't beginner corals...

Ricordea mushrooms are good too... they have cool colors but don't grow all that fast in comparison to what i listed above.... the ones i listed above are like "groundcover" they are the grass of your tank, growing quickly and filling space fast...

but for the most part, any soft coral is relatively easy to maintain... all of the corals I've had are in the list of what i mentioned above, and so far the corals in my tank are the only things that haven't given me any problems!

I've lost a few fish and some inverts for sure, but not a single polyp of any coral!
