    Sorry forgot something.;D

You are going to have to supply some supplemental feedings for the urchin and the starfish. Both should only go in an established tank, you did not have enough of the algaes they need to survive in the tank. If you can return them I would and get some type of store credit.

Great advice Ty! The tank is 30 gallons... Should I feed every day- one day brine-one day nori or pellets next day brine? Or mysis? What is a good hang on protein skimmer? Is that something I can make at home?

    nice tank. cept three things
    1. wtf kind of goby is that in the first pic? lol (i forgot the name)
    2. i dont think a sailfin tang has any business in a tank of our size (30 gallons is WAY too small!)
    3. that brain coral should be sent to me immediately for inspection :p lol

looking good, get that tang figured out though.

    Nope, it doesn't.

I don't know why people are saying daily feedings, except for the tang's sake. I used to feed twice a week before I got my tang, and that's more than enough. Now that I have a tang, I feed nori daily, with meaty foods on the same schedule as before.

Everyone that responds really bring me back down to reality...!!!!!! I live on some cloud where I think "ive got this" only to realize... "you're nowhere near 'getting' this" lol!!!! THANK YOU SO MUCH! So, I sat in front of my tank last night, as I usually do... STARING at it.. thinking of questions I have! Here goes!

    1. What do I buy to feed my corals? I have a xenia-brain coral (probably for a more advanced tank but, again.. horrible LFS. I found a GREAT one yesterday..) Thankfully I am in Miami and there are TONS to choose from!
    2. When I joined in August a very friendly 3reef member reccomended the following hang on skimmers AquaC Remora, Octopus, Bermuda Rogue, Deltec... is there one in particular i should be looking for OR should any of those do... (Part 2) Should I get rid of the carbon filter ONCE I have the skimmer.
    3. my tank fluctuates between 75-80degrees, is this OK?
    4. I feed brine (now daily thanks to you guys) but, I notice the cubes I get let off MANY small particles and worry the fish wont get to those tiny particles and they will settle. Should I be feeding mysis instead? (Part 2) how often the mysis or brine, how often alge? and who eats what?
    5. Is it ok to continue to add live rock? (I bought some uglier ones early on and discovered a store with the MOST beautiful calcified/purple rocks and would like to keep building) I COMPLETELY halted buying anymore livestock till I have the equipment to keep them.
    6. What should I buy to add to my water? another friendly 3reefer told me Alk/Ca/Mg supplements.. How often? Anything else?
    7. Random question.. Do the tube worms need a specific food?
    8. Is a 5 gallon a week water change enough (until I get my protein skimmer) will they survive protein skimmer less for another two weeks...? ( I cant get it until the end of this month! )
    9. How often should I check my water?
    10. Can someone identify the hitchhiker on one of my rocks?
He moves when touched and is a pink clear looking animal... Is he safe?
    11. ANYTHING else I need to know!!!! THANK YOU SOOO SOOO MUCH!!!!

    :)

I believe its that one... I just called the LFS and he said that should be it.. (he didnt remember but, I described it)
The tank I know is 30' across I am not near it now but, i will measure it later... Currently in the tank I have xenias, one brain coral, one other coral (pic below, lower right hand corner I dont know what it is...)
Also, If you see the picture BELOW as well, theres a purple rock.. when I took the picture the coral was retracted but, when its out it has yellowish hairs that sort of have a white center and are less than have an inch long when fully out. (small flowers almost)

    Thoughts?
