Welcome welcome welcome!!! I had some family living in Melbourne for about 3 years. Australia is a lovely place...the flies zipping into your eyes and mouth are a tad annoying in the heat of the summer. But what the hey...that place has some of the best animals in the world IMO. My aunt, uncle, and cousins (the family living in melbourne) had a pink Gala (the parrot). It was so pretty, but sure made a racket. Was really sweet too, but it died of some respiratory disease after they had it for 2 years. :(

    Anyways welcome to 3reef man!

We have this spring loaded fly swatter shaped like a gun with about a 3 inch "swatting disk". A string holding it to the "gun" gives it a range of maybe 3 feet (about 1 meter). It makes swatting flies one of the most enjoyable things around in the summertime. :D

Ooooo...raccoons. They're pretty fun to watch if you get the chance, but when they find a trash can or something in your house, they can make a RACKET. Especially when your dog corners one under the back porch and demolishes it. They seem to enjoy sending the lids on aluminum trash cans flying, which sounds like a train wreck or plane crash when it's 3 in the morning. Time to break out the pellet rifle.

And the glorious Moose. One of the biggest animals in the northern parts of the US and Canada. They are ENORMOUS. I have never seen one alive, sadly. But the head alone complete with a rack of antlers is enough to have your jaw hit the floor.

I should get my cousin to tell me some aussie phrases. I forgot the ones I learned. Darn.
