Newbie from Ohio

    Hi, I'm not new to to the home aquarium, but new to the fish forum. I've raised Africian Cichlids for 20 yrs. and decided it was time for a change. About three and a half yrs. ago started researching saltwater setups. I have actually changed over to a saltwater setup 2 1/2 yrs. ago and still learning.
    My setup it a 55 gallon: 3" of white sand, 55lbs live rock, sump, Euroreef skimmer, 260watt pc light, UV sterilizer. Livestock: 1 Racoon butterfly, 1 Coral Beauty angelfish, 1 Banggai Cardinalfish, 1 Blue spotted shrimp Goby, 1 large Coral banded shrimp alot of snails (various types) and about a dozen small hermit crabs.
    no pictures at this time.
    In the next few weeks I am moving all from a 55 gallon to a 75 gallon aquarium.

    Welcome to 3reef. I too ran FW for about 23 yrs before I changed over to SW and wish I had done it years ago. Takes more money but it's a lot more satisfying. Post some pics of your set up. :)

    Welcome to 3reef, sounds like a good set up. Are you planning on having corals in the near future? Angel fishes are known to nip at corals. We will hound you for pics until you post some;D. Good luck on your transfer and keep us posted. Luna
